Well, noticing my last journal entry I think it might be time for a new one..

So since a year we are back in Germany again from our 8 month trip to NZ.
New Zealand is a beautiful country and I'm very glad to have spend the time over there!
I took tons of photos, I think I can say that quite a few turned out really nice, although with the Kiwi landscape the hardest part wasn't to find a nice spot

I uploaded a handful of them I think but unfortunately lack the time to upload as much as I'd like to..

Coming to that, university started. I moved to Darmstadt which is ~230k's away from home and which is quite a nice city with a good university.
I found a small course of study somewhere in between IT and electronics with lots of freedom to pick courses from both disciplines. So far it's pretty interesting even though I'm at the basic part right now.
But it sure is time consuming! Stopped almost all of my hobbies in favor for doing university stuff, picked up the one or other new thing, but basically that's it.

Haven't been much around with the camera since NZ, so there isn't anything interesting about that. Save that I bought an old broken analog Pentax to get the focusing screen. Did a bit of handywork and now I have a better optical control for the focus at my K20 with lenses w/o auto focus (The NZ tip was pretty disastrous concerning my camera gear.. so I'm happy that I can use the good old lenses now )

Will probably be doing a bit more photography again in the next time, as I will be project photographer for the university interest group for sustainability


Yeah, don't know if there's anything else right now, I think it will be a while till I have enough free time to get active around here again.
So before I slip out of memory with all the stuff deviantart keeps you busy with I'd like to thank everyone around here Has been a great time here and I sure learned a lot about photography and other stuff and enjoyed the contact with lots of great people here! Thanks a lot! This won't be a goodbye, but I think that can't be said enough

Oh and one more thing! What have you been lately? And photo of you you're proud of? I'd love to see that! The 850 unseen deviations I have in my watch folder are keeping me off starting to look through them at the moment. Can't afford to spend as much time for that at the moment, so maybe you could throw a link in of one of your works?
